PVC Duct Work
PVC duct work is the dedicated exhaust piping system that connects the fume hood at the point of use to the final discharge point at the rooftop of the laboratory building. Constructed from Class O PVC pipe in diameters of 200mm to 250mm, the system is engineered to transport air containing hazardous fumes and vapours safely through the building structure and discharge them at a height that ensures the safe dispersal of contaminants away from occupied areas and air intakes.
The use of PVC pipework throughout the duct line provides excellent chemical resistance to the corrosive substances that may be carried within the airstream, ensuring the longevity and integrity of the ventilation system. The complete duct work installation, from fume hood connection to rooftop termination, forms an essential part of any compliant laboratory exhaust ventilation system, supporting both user safety and environmental responsibility in facilities where hazardous chemicals are in regular use.
